Dia de los Muertos Shirts

New this year! Dia de los Muertos t-shirts will be for sale at our Dia de los Muertos event on November 3rd.

ONLY $15 EACH with all profits going to our school, these rockin t-shirts have ISLA printed on the front and were designed by our very own LAs!

Remember to bring cash or check to the DDLM Fiesta and leave looking cool and supporting our school.

Give to the Max Day

Mark you calendars for November 16, Give to the Max Day is coming up! As we enter this season of giving, consider making a donation to the ISLA PTO on Give to the Max Day. Our school relies on donations to fund our programs and events. Every penny counts. More info to come!

Winter Items Needed for LAs

Our LAs are in need of some winter wear. Please contact Meggin Gregory (megginoleson@yahoo.com) if you have any of the below items to donate or loan. Thank you!

Female:

• 2 winter hats
• winter jacket size small
• snow pants size small
• winter boots size 8 or 8 1/2

Male:

• 2 winter jackets size small
• long underwear top (small or medium)

Hearing and Vision Screening Volunteers

Seeking LA Host Families!

NEED A GREAT EXCUSE TO DO SOME SPRING or FALL CLEANING?

HOST AN LA!!!!

Make room for one of ISLA’s Language Ambassadors (LAs) to stay with your family by finally unpacking that extra bedroom in your home.   

Please be in touch with Kim Gelperin kimgelp@gmail.com or Meggin Gregory megginoleson@yahoo.com, the Volunteer LA Coordinators, if you’re interested, you have questions, and/or want to be put on our Host Family list.

To host an LA, you must provide one private bedroom (the bathroom can be shared).

Generally, there are two seasons to host:

Fall: mid-August through mid-January

Spring: mid-January through mid-June

Create a lifelong cultural exchange with one of our LAs in addition to finding your old records.  The benefits are endless.
