Carolina DuFault was born and raised in Santiago, Chile where she attended the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC), one of the most highly respected colleges in South America. While in college, she enrolled in English classes at the North American Institute of Chile, finishing with high honors. Over the next four years, Carolina taught at Preschool and Kindergarten levels before she decided to become an Amity exchange teacher coming to the US to keep improving her English skills and teach Spanish in an immersion setting. After her year as a Language Ambassador, she obtained her Master's Degree in English Communications at the Central University of Chile. A year later, she had moved to Minnesota where she taught both second and third grades at various Spanish immersion settings, including Minnetonka Public Schools where she received an Excellence in Teaching Award in 2014. Carolina is very excited on continuing her career at ISLA.
