Claudia C. Holzbauer was born and raised in Peru where she obtained her teaching degree from the Instituto Pedagogico Nacional Monterrico, with a major in Early Childhood Education in 2004. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón, with a major in Education in 2005. She has more than 12 years of experience teaching both English and Spanish, in levels from Pre-K to elementary. Her first exposure to the immersion system was in 2008, when she was an intern teacher through the Amity program in an immersion school in Saint Paul. She has seen first-hand the rewards and challenges children will experience in their first year in immersion education. She loves to travel, when time permits, Claudia, her husband (Aaron) and a daughter (Lauren) try to make small or long trips... her dreams is to have her passport full with visas from many different countries.
