Igor Díaz was born and raised in Oviedo, a small city in the north of Spain. He received his undergraduate degrees in Physical Education and English as a Second Language from the University of Oviedo in 2008 and 2010 respectively. He worked as a basketball coach and tutor for 5 years in Spain. He moved to Minnesota 3 years ago. Before starting at ISLA he worked for Concordia Language Villages and Saint Paul Public Schools. He lives in Uptown Minneapolis with his wife Amy and they love walking around Lake Calhoun, as it is is one of their favorite places in the city. Igor likes playing basketball and beach volley ball, reading and listening to music. He is very excited to start his third year at ISLA, because "the staff is really nice and professional and it is such a great community".
