Mary Jo De Villers is faculty at Simmons College, School of Nursing and Health Sciences, where she teaches research methodology to nurse practitioner students. She moved to St. Louis Park in 2013 from Green Bay, WI, where she taught nursing at the University of Wisconsin for 14 years. Prior to transitioning to nursing education, her practice as an RN was in hospital and long term-care settings. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota, and a PhD from Loyola University Chicago. She currently sits on ISLA’s Governance Committee. She has a granddaughter and grandson currently attending ISLA.
