Sibling Enrollment
ISLA gives enrollment preference to siblings of currently enrolled students and children of staff. To get your child's sibling preference, you must still complete an online student application for your child. The deadline to be included in the lottery is 4 pm on Friday, February 14th.

Spring Book Fair
The Spring Book Fair is coming and we need volunteers! Sign up below to volunteer:

Students will preview on March 3-5 and can purchase books with their grown ups at conferences on March 6 and 7. If students will not be at conferences, they can bring money, or you can set up an eWallet to purchase books on March 5th during the day. More information to follow.

February Restaurant Night
We’re doing something super simple and extra sweet for February’s Restaurant Night—with multiple chances to enjoy treats, games, and community time at Dairy Queen!
To help keep things fun and easy for our DQ friends, we’re suggesting the following visit dates:
Friday, February 14th – Grab your sweetheart and stop by for a Valentine’s Day treat!
Recommended group: Pre-K, Kinder, 2nd & 5th Graders– Game Afternoon/Night at DQ! Bring your friends (or your kiddo’s
friends) and enjoy board games and Blizzards!
Friday, February 21st – 1st, 3rd, & 4th Graders, it’s your turn! Another round of games & treats at DQ!
Thursday, February 27th – Talent Show Night!
Whether you grab an early snack/dinner before the show or stop by after for a celebratory treat, mention ISLA when ordering and DQ will donate 20% of all sales back to our school
FYI- These grade-level breakdowns are just suggestions—you’re welcome to attend either, neither, or ALL nights! Just be sure to mention ISLA when ordering to ensure 20% of all sales go back to support our school!

We are so excited to see our students, staff & families in the spotlight next month! Tickets to attend the Talent Show are a suggested donation of $5/seat at the door– Or just pay what you can! These tickets at the door will be general admission seating at the auditorium. Additionally, we will now be offering a limited amount of reserved seats!! There will still be plenty of seats available in the auditorium for general admission, but if you’re looking to reserve ahead of time, you can find out how here!
Power Card Sales for Dave & Buster’s Officially Begin! (February 27 – March 3)
On March 6, our monthly Restaurant Night will be at Dave & Buster's in Southdale Mall. We're able to combine this fun family night with a mini-fundraiser by selling Power Cards – play cards for any Dave & Buster’s—and a fun way to fundraise for ISLA!
Start Date: Thursday, February 27 – March 3
$10 or $20 Play Cards Available – 50% of sales go back to ISLA!
Great for our Family Fun Night on March 6 (or any visit to Dave & Buster’s).

Bloomington Event Center has a 250 person capacity, so don't hold off on grabbing your tickets– We are almost 50% sold out! Save yourself $10/piece... Ticket price includes appetizers, dinner, 1 drink ticket, dessert, music & dancing through an evening of fun, entertainment and FUNdraising for our school!

From the highly sought after Tapas Party (3rd Annual) to a brand new Dads & Disc Golf... Allllllll the way to a joyride in a convertible.... The Fiesta auction is building up with some AMAZING items!! You can preview these auction items and more NOW on the website. Bidding/purchases will open after the ISLA Talent Show on 2/27 with a handful of items reserved for the Live Auction during Fiesta on 3/15.
QUICK TIPS: After creating your account on Givesmart, you can favorite auction items to be given updates! Items are also sorted into categories by item# by gift cards/items, experiences, gift baskets and Community Connections.

While 2/9 was tentatively our donation deadline, we will still be accepting them! The drawing for those that had their submissions in will be announced the week of 2/17.
Donations for Fiesta come in many shapes & sizes– Gift cards, memorabilia, crafted/handmade items, culinary treats/catering, gift baskets and more... But maybe you've also heard of Great Gatherings– Now called Community Connections to more closely reflect what their true intent is– To bring us all closer together not only as a school community, but as friends to build & grow connections with other humans in similar phases of life with a vested interest in our children's education, well-being along with our staff!
You are free to choose from a pre-made list of ideas, gift basket ideas or come up with something of your own!! We absolutely would LOVE to see what fun & unique interests and talents our families have here at ISLA!! We just threw A LOT of information at you– But not to fret... We've got your back! Don't forget to utilize the PTO website for all your Fiesta need-to-knows. I will keep this post pinned in our Facebook group as well as sent via email to the school to have for reference. Can't wait to make another year of memories together at our school's biggest get together of the year.
FIESTA RAFFLE IS BACK!
Each student has 5 tickets to sell to family & friends – the tickets are $10/each. The drawing will take place at the Fiesta event (3/15/25), you do not need to be present to win! More tickets are available if you want to sell more than 5, any unsold tickets should be given back to the teacher by 3/3/25. All filled out tear offs of purchased tickets and payment should be returned by 3/3/25 also. Cash or check preferred.
