Transportation Request for 2025-2026
We are trying to be super proactive in supporting as many families as possible to have a smooth, easy bus ride to ISLA every day. Currently, we are planning for at least 1 bus route to move into Bloomington in the 2025-2026 school year while maintaining legacy service to our Hopkins families. We are using this request to determine the extent to which we can expand our boundary into Bloomington. PLEASE complete your request by April 1 so that we have plenty of time to establish and communicate transportation plans.

After thirteen years of teaching, including the last four at ISLA, Sr. Izquierdo (Roberto) is embarking on new ventures. He will be hosting wine tastings, organizing student trips to Spain (www.uniqjourneys.com), and primarily leading and guiding adult tours in Spain & Portugal (www.vinomn.com) through his company. Check out the attached flyers for more details, or contact him at roberto@vinomn.com for wine tastings and adult tours, or roberto@uniqjourneys.com for student trips. He will be missed but promised to stay in touch with us and collaborate as much as possible as he believes in our mission.

Things are ready for a big ol’ party on Saturday, but the Fiesta Committee needs your support as we prepare to celebrate this amazing ISLA Community while supporting our Language Ambassador Program!!

We are looking for help setting up, all the way to tearing down.... And everything in-between on the day-of Fiesta. The Sign-up Genius is now available reflecting spots you can plug in & get involved at ISLA and take part in the support of your children’s education & social/emotional development!
Wine Bottle Donations
We are putting together a fun game to run at Fiesta and could use another 5-10 wine bottles (valued at $15+) to round out our current collection we’ll be bringing to Fiesta on 3/15!!

Each student has 5 tickets to sell to family & friends – the tickets are $10/each. The drawing will take place at the Fiesta event (3/15/25), you do not need to be present to win! More tickets are available if you want to sell more than 5, any unsold tickets should be given back to the teacher by 3/3/25. All filled out tear offs of purchased tickets and payment should be returned to your child’s teacher ASAP! Cash or check preferred– Venmo available: @ISLA-PTO (shows as Michael Schulte, our PTO Board Treasurer)

Vocal Stars Choir - ISLA Edina

In Vocal Stars Choir, we start by exploring our voices through simple and enjoyable songs. We’ll learn how to sing with confidence, use different vocal techniques, and discover what makes our voices unique. It’s all about having fun and feeling great while developing our singing skills. We will dive into different music styles and work on creating our own melodies. Whether you love pop, musical theater, or anything in between, you’ll have the chance to experiment with new sounds and develop your musical creativity. With plenty of encouragement, we will build confidence and learn to control our voices.
