As a grandparent of a student at ISLA I am honored to be invited to join the school board. My work career started as a theatrical costume designer at the age of 16, then evolved into becoming a business owner in my mid-twenties onward. Home renovations, office management and bookkeeping were the various focuses. In 2002 an unplanned trip to Puerto Morelos, a small beach side town south of Cancun, Mexico, saw the unexpected beginning of Abbey del Sol; a very enjoyable and successful vacation rental business that I am pleased to say thrives today. I have fully retired this year so I can put my energy and attention on the volunteer opportunities at ISLA. My husband, Tiff Worley, and I formed La Brigada de los Abuelos de ISLA group in 2022 as well as joining the Fundraising Committee. Being part of our granddaughter’s early school years has been so wonderfully rewarding. It’s given me the chance to apply both my artistic side as well as my organizational abilities to all sorts of worthwhile endeavors. I look forward to more!
